In the opening of the clip starts with a dissolving non-diegetic sound bridge from the previous scene, their are no real sound track in play during the opening scene. the only form of sound we get is the dialogue between the girl and the two men. The lack of sound in the room is used tho draw the audiences attention, to the out of the ordinary transaction that is taking place. also it establish and emphasis the awkwardness between the character due to the event that they are gathered for.
The rustling sound effect of the envelope is there as the a type of signal to the audience that they are there for business, but it is not clear of the form of business. The extra sound in the background also highlight the circulating awkwardness in the atmosphere. The makers of this clip have recognized the importance of sound in any clip, they know that for the audience to understand the meaning of the clip the sound has to play a key part. This is done in the clips, because through out that whole scene, the silence plays a key part in drawing the audiences attention to the awkwardness between the characters. The constance silence shows that the scene in the room is either happy or sad. The silence attract the audiences focus to the fact that the awkwardness in the scene is because of the boy in the wheel chair.
The sound created form the locking of the door is a diegetic sound, and it is used to show the vulnerability of the character. Its points out to the audience that the disabled character feels unsafe, this also makes the scene even more awkward because the boys doesn't not feel free to say what is in his mind, this now has an affect on the length on the dialogue between the two characters.
The dialogue is short, swift and shaky, this helps the audience to see that the lake of sound is due to the fact that the call-girl has never dealt with a client in his state. This is pointed out by the amount that is said and not said. The dialogue is punctuated by the jot of silence, this draws out the attention to the fact that this is his and her first time in this position.
The sound in this story line is used to show the awkwardness between the boy and the call-girl because of the boys disability. The next time we see the father, we see his worry and concern for the soon. This builds on the fact that the this is the first time that the son has been in this position. The sound track is a slow and emotional and it shows the audience that he is at a edge, he feels worried because he has never been in this position before. The sound effects are used to show his boredom as well as his worries fro his son.
The non-diegetic sound bridge is sound to across to the two, between the scene with the father in the car and the call-girl with the boy. Then when the camera enters the scene thee sound track changes, this indicates to the audience that the scene that we are in has a different atmosphere surrounding it. The sound track in this scene becomes ambient and is used to set a romantic scene.
The instrument used to create this sound track is a harmonica, which in movies is used by a person who is going through a hard time or in a sad scene. The harmonica is used to create a mode of madness in this scene.Towards the end of the scene the ambient sound track starts to dissolve as the sexual scene between the two characters starts to build.
