In the opening of the clip starts with a dissolving non-diegetic sound bridge from the previous scene, their are no real sound track in play during the opening scene. the only form of sound we get is the dialogue between the girl and the two men. The lack of sound in the room is used tho draw the audiences attention, to the out of the ordinary transaction that is taking place. also it establish and emphasis the awkwardness between the character due to the event that they are gathered for.
The rustling sound effect of the envelope is there as the a type of signal to the audience that they are there for business, but it is not clear of the form of business. The extra sound in the background also highlight the circulating awkwardness in the atmosphere. The makers of this clip have recognized the importance of sound in any clip, they know that for the audience to understand the meaning of the clip the sound has to play a key part. This is done in the clips, because through out that whole scene, the silence plays a key part in drawing the audiences attention to the awkwardness between the characters. The constance silence shows that the scene in the room is either happy or sad. The silence attract the audiences focus to the fact that the awkwardness in the scene is because of the boy in the wheel chair.
The sound created form the locking of the door is a diegetic sound, and it is used to show the vulnerability of the character. Its points out to the audience that the disabled character feels unsafe, this also makes the scene even more awkward because the boys doesn't not feel free to say what is in his mind, this now has an affect on the length on the dialogue between the two characters.
The dialogue is short, swift and shaky, this helps the audience to see that the lake of sound is due to the fact that the call-girl has never dealt with a client in his state. This is pointed out by the amount that is said and not said. The dialogue is punctuated by the jot of silence, this draws out the attention to the fact that this is his and her first time in this position.
The sound in this story line is used to show the awkwardness between the boy and the call-girl because of the boys disability. The next time we see the father, we see his worry and concern for the soon. This builds on the fact that the this is the first time that the son has been in this position. The sound track is a slow and emotional and it shows the audience that he is at a edge, he feels worried because he has never been in this position before. The sound effects are used to show his boredom as well as his worries fro his son.
The non-diegetic sound bridge is sound to across to the two, between the scene with the father in the car and the call-girl with the boy. Then when the camera enters the scene thee sound track changes, this indicates to the audience that the scene that we are in has a different atmosphere surrounding it. The sound track in this scene becomes ambient and is used to set a romantic scene.
The instrument used to create this sound track is a harmonica, which in movies is used by a person who is going through a hard time or in a sad scene. The harmonica is used to create a mode of madness in this scene.Towards the end of the scene the ambient sound track starts to dissolve as the sexual scene between the two characters starts to build.

Editing and how it is used to show representation of disability in the clip diary of a call-girl
Through out the clip from start to to the end a continuity editing is used all over the clip. In the scene where the character first meet each other the match on action transition is used to focus the audiences attention to who the girl was talking to, then that was followed by the shot reverse shot which was then used in the conversation between the call-girl and the disabled boy. This shows that the call-girl is trying to maintain eye contact with the disabled boy because she doesnt want him to think that she is uncomfortable with the fact that he was disabled.
The eyeline match followed by th close up shot,of the woman looking up and down on from the boy to the father is used to construct an akward atmosphere in the room. This also shows representation of disability because the call-girl cannot make up her mind on who to look at, as she is trying to keep both the boy and his father from suspecting that she was unconfrotable with the fact the is disabled. This also focuses the audiences attention to the awkward atmosphere that circulated the room.
match on action is used in the scene where the father pick up his son from the wheel chair and onto the bed. This is used to highlight the disability of the boy, because . Also in that scene the footage doesn't run straight through it cut in 2 places, as the dad was about to pick up his son and after he pick up his son as well as when he takes him to the bed and when he lays him down on the bed. This show representation of disability because the editor is trying to show the audience that handling a disabled person you have to be gently and slow. The eye line match is used, when the boy was looking at the girl lock the door
A cross cut editing is used to show the scene when the father is in the car. The jump cut editing is combined with the cross cut editing to show how the father is feeling about the current event.

Camera analysis of Monarch of the glen clip.
At the start of the clip a medium shot is combined with the track reverse tacking movement is used to introduce the men as they loaded up their van and get ready to head out to work.
In this next scene the pan is used to set up an over the shoulder medium long shot of the girl. However we could say that the medium-long shots were used to establish the location and costume. which help to show representation of age, by showing the audience the girls body language and her costume.
In the scene where the girl tries to start the car, a close up is used to show her body language. The shot show a confused body language which shows representation of age, because it show that the girl is not aware of what she was doing but goes does the childish thing of not telling the truth and drives off maintain the impression of and adult.
In the next scene a wide shot( this is in between the long shot and the extreme shot)is used to establish the location and the environment.
As the headmaster emerges from the car the mid-long shot is used. This allows the audience to see the shows the crash in the foreground and the headmaster in the background. This shot allows the audience to see the headmaster costume and body language. By allowing the audience to see the two collided cars the shit is trying to shows representation of age, because it shows that when the two cars collided, it wasn't just a normal crash but a clash of age between the old and the young, and because the girl hides behind the fatherly like character it shows that the older generation won. In this scene a medium shot composed with a shot reverse shot, is used to show the conversation between the headmaster and the man in the blue jacket. It also show representation of age, it puts us at the girls eye level making the two adults look powerful, this makes us as the audience feel sorry for the young girl.
The establishing shot is used to set the scene, where the men are about to work. However a range of shots are used, to show representation of age, because the shot shows the audience that their are no teenager around. It also shows use tools that the men are working with as well as the customs that they are wearing for work.
The tilt is used in the room scene to reveal the note that leaves, and the pan to reveal the teddy bear. Then the slow zoom is used to focus the audience to her feeling by showing her as she looks at a past picture of her family during the good times.
The last shot is a mid-close up of the mans face that shows his body language as he just discovered that the teenage girl had just run away. This close up puts the audience at the mans eye level which makes us feel the same way that the man is feeling, which is guilt. He feels its his fault that the girl ran away. This shows that he really did care but acted as the did because he wanted to display a fatherly role towards the girl. This is the last shot of the clip, which ends in a cliffhanger, leaving the audience in the mans shoes feeling guilty.

Answer : The four media term that were learned. today are media language, audinence, institution and representation.
Quewsion 2: What does each key cocept refer to.
Answer 2: key concept 1 media language refer to words such as cinematography, editior , sound and mise en scene. In the exam i will be tested on my ability to analyse the following words in a film or documentary. cinematography is the type of shots that is at your disposal on a film set, shots such as close up shot, birds eye view shot, two shot, cut in and a noddy shot.
Editing is when a people is able to compose a film from selecting a widew range of shots. For example and eiditor has to be able to know if a cross cutting shot is valid on the film and if so he then has to know where to put this shot type.
sound on a film applies to the way the director is able to use sounds to create tension, or use it in a particual scene to make it even better.
mise en scene applies to everything, from body language to the lighting used on the set.
In conclusion in the exam i will be tested on the my ability to write about howthese key terms ( as well as others ), will affect the way the film or documebntary is protrayed by the audience. It will also judge me on how well i have covered areas such the instiution, representation, and the audience.
media analyse
Question: Analyse the mise en scene in the “monarch of the glen clip”. How does it construct the representation of age?
Answer:
In the first scene we see a heard of grown men working with heavy and dangerous tools. From that first scene the representation of age is clear, because not only are the men working with dangerous tools but there are no children in site. Also one was to look closely they would notice that there are two different types of adults their and there are those that are really old and those that are young adult (in their 30ths). The young adult are shown moving faster than the older ones and doing more of the heavy lifting than the older ones. This another way in which the makers of the clip have tired to represent age.
We move on to the costume of the characters and we see that the adults are dressed in an older line of the fashion. The older characters are dressing in smart ready for work. The dressing is smart but not too smart showing he is serious but his job, but can also have fun doing it. Where as the youths are wearing casual and fashionable clothing.
The next scene that I analysed is where the girl is given a car and is asked to go into town to pick up a few supplies. Unaware of the resources the girls hesitates to start the car. Her body language at this point is that of a confused youth in an exam.
If you take a look at the way that the youths room is and the adults office is, you would see that the makers of this clip have gone to great lengths to make sure that they have established the age difference. The adults office is made out of well polished wood, the office is laid out in a formal setting where you have one desk, one master chair, and 2or 3 others chairs for the guests. The fact that it has 2 or 3 other chairs shows that the room is not a place where a stamped of people can converse to have a bit of banter.
On the other hand the girls bed room is has a peach wall colour, pink bed sheets, a mirror with pink decorations hanging from it and a teddy bear. This shows that the girl is still a has the mind set of a child because she feels that having the teddy bear with her when she sleeps will protect her from any bad situation that she is in.
