Camera analysis of Monarch of the glen clip.

At the start of the clip a medium shot is combined with the track reverse tacking movement is used to introduce the men as they loaded up their van and get ready to head out to work.

In this next scene the pan is used to set up an over the shoulder medium long shot of the girl. However we could say that the medium-long shots were used to establish the location and costume. which help to show representation of age, by showing the audience the girls body language and her costume.

In the scene where the girl tries to start the car, a close up is used to show her body language. The shot show a confused body language which shows representation of age, because it show that the girl is not aware of what she was doing but goes does the childish thing of not telling the truth and drives off maintain the impression of and adult.

In the next scene a wide shot( this is in between the long shot and the extreme shot)is used to establish the location and the environment.
As the headmaster emerges from the car the mid-long shot is used. This allows the audience to see the shows the crash in the foreground and the headmaster in the background. This shot allows the audience to see the headmaster costume and body language. By allowing the audience to see the two collided cars the shit is trying to shows representation of age, because it shows that when the two cars collided, it wasn't just a normal crash but a clash of age between the old and the young, and because the girl hides behind the fatherly like character it shows that the older generation won. In this scene a medium shot composed with a shot reverse shot, is used to show the conversation between the headmaster and the man in the blue jacket. It also show representation of age, it puts us at the girls eye level making the two adults look powerful, this makes us as the audience feel sorry for the young girl.

The establishing shot is used to set the scene, where the men are about to work. However a range of shots are used, to show representation of age, because the shot shows the audience that their are no teenager around. It also shows use tools that the men are working with as well as the customs that they are wearing for work.

The tilt is used in the room scene to reveal the note that leaves, and the pan to reveal the teddy bear. Then the slow zoom is used to focus the audience to her feeling by showing her as she looks at a past picture of her family during the good times.

The last shot is a mid-close up of the mans face that shows his body language as he just discovered that the teenage girl had just run away. This close up puts the audience at the mans eye level which makes us feel the same way that the man is feeling, which is guilt. He feels its his fault that the girl ran away. This shows that he really did care but acted as the did because he wanted to display a fatherly role towards the girl. This is the last shot of the clip, which ends in a cliffhanger, leaving the audience in the mans shoes feeling guilty.
